At Artistic Flair Studio we strive to create a place where people of all skill and experience levels are welcome and comfortable trying new artistic endeavors. Paint your own pottery, try your hand on the potter's wheel or hand-build with clay, create some resin art, or try some seasonal projects …the possibilities are truly endless! Meet the Team
Owner/Instructor
Jessica Kurilko
Jess is a midwestern girl from MN and moved to Venice with her husband and daughter twelve years ago. She's an accomplished potter and teacher and when she's not at the studio, you may see her in scrubs, working the night shift as an X-ray tech at Englewood Hospital.
When not working, she loves her role as Mimi to two littles and hanging out with family and two dogs.
Owner/Instructor
Jenny Wheat
Jenny moved to Florida from Lebanon, IN eight years ago and is a Purdue graduate and avid Boilermaker fan. When she's not teaching or creating resin projects at the shop she sees clients at Heart to Heart Counseling in Venice where she works as a Master's level therapist. Jenny enjoys spending time with her very favorite people- her daughter, son and their spouses- whenever she can and is an active member of The Bridge Church in Venice.

Vicky
Vicky discovered Artistic Flair Studio after moving to Nokomis in 2020. She loves the positive atmosphere and true community that the studio provides. She has been playing with clay for over 10 years now and especially loves wheel throwing. You'll find her sharing her love of pottery with others by teaching a class or simply enjoying time in the studio.

Calvin
Calvin is a ceramic artist whose work celebrates the beauty of Creation. Drawing inspiration from nature's textures and rhythms, he creates timeless, functional pottery meant to be used, loved, and lived with every day.

Studio Staff
Carrie
Carrie and her husband moved to Venice from Wisconsin in 2019. She has two sons. She spent three years learning the wheel while in WI. She took a break and started creating mosaic artwork. Once in FL without a basement, she realized she needed to find another artistic outlet and went back to pottery. During covid it was a lifesaver finding Artistic Flair. This time around creating handbuilt pieces became her passion. She loves helping others find the joy in this wonderful art form.

Trish
Trish has always liked playing in the mud. She started making Picasso cats about ten years ago. Then it turned into dogs, alligators, chickens, birds, monsters, giraffes, and most recently elephants. She is self taught and is enjoying teaching like minded individuals how to create cats and dogs. You can use her patterns or make a replica of your very own pet. Come to class and have some fun!
